TEXT TO BE READ FOR THE BLIND – THEATRE

Álvaro Cunqueiro’s works of drama consist of three complete works: O incerto Señor Don Hamlet, príncipe de Dinamarca (1958), A noite vai coma un río* (1965), and Rogelia en Finisterre, (the latter written in Spanish) and two unfinished works.

Both the finished and unfinished works are sometimes part of his novels (La noche va como un río is integrated in Un hombre que se parecían a Orestes; Las escenas segunda y vigésimo quinta (…) is part of Si o vello Sinbad volvese ás illas and La Función de Romeo y Julieta can be found in Las crónicas del Sochantre). Cunqueiro’s literature is an extremely original blend of literary elements from a range of sources.
